Pet grooming stations, high-speed lifts, bocce lawns and now Australia's first sky garage — luxury apartment living has hit a whole new level on the Gold Coast.

Plans for The Monaco residential apartment tower on MacArthur Pde in Main Beach were given the green light by council this week, paving the way for would-be residents to drive into a personal car lift that stops inside their apartment.

Designed by Rothelowman architects, marketing for the sky garage project by development firm Ignite Projects is now being finalised.

Prized pooches will be taken care of in a pet grooming station while residents can partake in a round of virtual golf or visit an onsite wellness studio and a 24m lap pool.

The 23-level tower will comprise eight half-floor sky villas, 16 full-floor sky villas and one double-storey penthouse, ranging in price from $1.8 million to $4.9 million.
