The Clifton family has lived in picturesque Main Beach for over three decades. Although they initially had no intentions of moving, they changed their minds once they discovered the elevated lifestyle on offer at The Monaco. We sat down with Robin Clifton to discuss why his
family has decided to purchase one of the off-plan apartments at The Monaco.
One of The Monaco’s key features is its beautiful location; Robin explains, “The Monaco is unique – it’s the only new apartment project to be built in north Main Beach in many years, and its position means there are views from all levels of the building across the Broadwater, Southport Yacht Club, park and ocean which will never be built out.”
Having been long-time locals of the area, the Clifton family prioritised finding a home with a similar location that affords the same stunning views as their current home. Robin comments his family was thrilled with the opportunity at The Monaco to retain the complete package, while elevating their lifestyle. He adds that there are few other opportunities currently available quite comparable to The Monaco both in regards to the quality of build and lifestyle opportunities: “The other options were established buildings, which are old and most don’t have anywhere near the lifestyle amenity that’s offered at The Monaco.”
“I like the fact that it’s a boutique building, with fewer residences,” Robin adds. The Monaco also offers a dedicated recreation space complete with a gym, bike area, wellness studio and a 22-metre heated swimming pool backdropped by an exquisite view. “The developers have really made the most of this site, with the right orientation to capture sunlight and sea breezes, while also reducing the outside in,” Robin says. Every part of the building is premium and each finish and development has been carefully designed to offer purchasers the option to customise the interiors to suit their lifestyle and personality.
When asked how the family will find the move from a traditional house to an apartment at The Monaco, Robin said “we will have ample living space, so we will still have all the comfort of a private home with the benefit of the additional amenities on offer within the project. We were really looking forward to the move.”
“Main Beach has everything you need – you can take a walk along the beach, enjoy a lunch at the Yacht Club or on Tedder Avenue, and soon we will have the
redevelopment of The Spit bringing even more retail, dining and beautiful parklands to our doorstep – to rival Noosa’s internationally famous walkway.”

In collaboration with Rothelowman, developer Ignite Projects has redesigned the floor plans across all apartments in The Monaco to put the luxury home in the sky lifestyle front and centre. The redesign adds roughly 20 per cent more space, increasing apartment floor plans
by about 23sqm – bringing the full floor apartments up to 380sqm. The newly appointed spaces are designed with flexibility in mind, encouraging each future resident to customise design as an additional bedroom or a dedicated space for a private study, media room,
library or even wine cellar.
This redesign remains true to the development’s original design intent to seek clarity and
simplicity. Andrew Erwin of NPA Projects explains, “as a result of the redesign, The Monaco is now 50% reserved with construction expected to start in the second half of 2021.”
